The PADI Drift Diver Specialty course teaches you how to enjoy going with the flow as you scuba dive down rivers and use ocean currents to glide along.

 

It really does feel like you are flying – except that you’re underwater!! Drift diving can be relaxing and exhilarating at the same time.

If you’re a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver who is at least 12 years old, you can enrol in the Drift Diver specialty course.

​

During this course you will cover the following skills;

• Receive an introduction to drift diving equipment – floats, lines and reels.

• Get an overview of aquatic currents – causes and effects.

• Practice with buoyancy control, navigation and communication during two drift dives.

• Learn techniques for staying close to a buddy or together as a group as you float with the current.

We can offer you two ways to take this course as follows:

Option 1 - During One of our UK Dive Trips - The course will be £245, plus the cost of your trip.

Option 2 - During one of our Foreign Trips - The course will be £189, plus the cost of your trip.

​

Option 3 - Book this at the same time as a PADI Boat Diver Specialty on one of our foreign trips and save £30 on the boat diver specialty.
