This program is the first part of the PADI Instructor Development Course, and is a superb way to start the journey, develop your skills further as you progress to being a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. To complete this journey, we will support you through the later parts of this program (OWSI and IE), in conjunction with a PADI course Director, who we can introduce you too.
A PADI Divemaster (In good standing) who has been a certified diver for six months may enrol in the PADI Instructor Development Course. You also need:

At least 60 logged dives (100 dives to attend an IE for the last part of an IDC.

Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months.

A medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months

Be a minimum of 18 years old
Post qualification you will be able to:

Teach and certify PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy

Teach PADI AWARE Specialty
-
Conduct PADI Bubblemaker program

Conduct PADI Seal Team Aqua Missions
and in addition

Work with students on knowledge development
-
Present initial skills training
-
Conduct Open Water surface skill evaluations
The above will be under direct / indirect supervision of a PADI instructor as applicable
Assistant Instructor - Your Way
Option 1 - PADI Assistant Instructor Course (AI) - £350 + PADI Materials
Option 2 - PADI Assistant Instructor Course (AI) + EFR Renewal - £460
Option 3 - PADI Assistant Instructor Course (AI) + EFR Instructor - £860
Option 2 & 3 also require PADI Materials for AI course.
